Review of Obsidio (Illuminae File #3)by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

Kady, Ezra, Hanna and Nik narrowly escaped with their lives from the attack on Heimdall station and now find themselves crammed with over 2000 refugees on the container ship, Mao. With the jump station destroyed and the resources are now scarce, the only option they have is to return to Kerenza .... but who know what they will find after seven months since the invasion?

Meanwhile, Kady's cousin Asha has survived the initial BeiTech assualt and has joined the ragtag resistance based on Kerenza. When Rhys, an old flame from Asha's past, reappears on Kerenza, they find themselves on opposites side of the conflict. However with time running out and the final battle looming and this time it will be raging on land and space - the hero's will fall and hearts will be broken.

This is the finally installment in the Illuminae files and it is the perfect ending to the story. It is so satisfying to see this story to come full circle and we see how the underdogs survive and and triumph against all of the odds and show that smallest can achieve. I have enjoyed this story and can see how the dynamic duo of Kaufman and Kristoff have become a a firm favorite of fantasy lovers. I can not wait to read some other work which the two of them co-author in the near future. I have experienced loads and loads of emotions with this series and this final installment had me going through the wringer from page one and it has left a void in my life which i dont think i will be able to find a new trilogy for a while. I spent far to many late nights reading this and it has helped me get my hunger for books back. Thank You.
